Bernd Mayländer is a former touring car driver and has been the official Formula 1 Safety Car driver since 2000. He also drives the Safety Car in other FIA events, including Formula 2, Formula 3 and the Porsche Supercup.

Stepping onto the prestigious national sports car stage, Mayländer captures outstanding podium finishes in the highly competitive Porsche Carrera Cup Germany.

24 HOURS OF LE MANS

A triumph on the global endurance stage. Mayländer achieves a remarkable second-place finish in the GT class at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, driving a Porsche 911 GT3-R.

NÜRBURGRING 24H VICTORY

Conquering the Green Hell. Mayländer reaches a crowning milestone in endurance racing, securing overall victory at the grueling Nürburgring 24 Hours with Porsche.

SAFETY CAR APPOINTMENT

The start of a historic era. Mayländer is appointed the official FIA Formula One Safety Car driver, undertaking a vital role that requires absolute composure at the absolute limit.

DTM SHANGHAI VICTORY

Asserting his absolute pace. Mayländer claims a historic victory at the Mercedes-backed DTM invitational street race in Shanghai, cementing his renown as an all-round elite specialist.
